Garryowen ESB Upgrade

Project Description

P&D Lydon were contracted by the ESB to install 3km of trench (6-way 38kVA ducting) within the urban environment of Limerick City at Garryowen to Southhill.

Project Timeline – December 2018 – October 2019

Role – Main Contractor PSCS

The scope of the project included:

Trench excavation through reinforced concrete and tarmac surfaced roads
Stop/go traffic management while still maintaining uninterrupted access to all household and business owners.
use of specialist plant owned by P&D Lydon helped minimise the disruption to the local community while still allowing good progress being made on site.
