Project Description

This prompt project involved a cleaning and painting upgrade to the existing concrete façade and parapet elements of O’ Dwyer Bridge on Athlunkard Street, Limerick City.

Client – Limerick City & County Council

Project Timeline – August 2024 – September 2025

Role – Main Contractor, PSCS

The scope of the project included:

Restricted access over deep fast flowing water course
Works to be both road side and river side of parapet
Devegetation works
Graffiti removal
Clean down existing paintwork
Apply primer and 2 top coats using brush / roller
Control measures in place to prevent contamination of watercourse
Excavate and lay ducting along shallow sub deck
Reinstatement of footpaths along deck
