Sustainability in Construction

At P&D Lydon we focus on reducing the negative environmental impacts of buildings and infrastructures throughout their life cycles. Our sustainable constructive aim is to balance ecological, economic and social factors.
The use of Eco-friendly and Sustainable Building Materials:

Recycled and Recyclable Materials

We aim to use materials that are either made from recycled products or can be recycled after the project is completed.

Locally Sourced Materials

We strive to reduce transportation emissions and supporting local industries by sourcing materials locally.

Low-Impact Materials

We incorporate the use of materials such as recycled steel and other less harmful materials that are better to our environment in comparison to conventional construction materials.

As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability and reducing operational costs, P&D Lydon has installed solar panels at its head office and garage. This aims to lower the company’s carbon footprint, decrease reliance on grid electricity, and demonstrate leadership in environmentally responsible construction practices. The solar installation is expected to significantly reduce electricity consumption, contributing to long-term energy savings and aligning with green building goals.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Through our CSR Policy we propose to leave a positive impact on the communities in which we work. This is achieved in a variety of ways through provision of quality employment and fair working practices, paying the living wage as a minimum, engaging with local educational institutions, fundraising on behalf of local good causes, encouraging volunteering and donating to local food banks, and reducing our carbon footprint. CSR is very important to us and we look at ways to leave a positive legacy on every project we deliver.
