P&D Lydon’s Health & Safety policy ensures that their work will comply with statutory provisions and all reasonably practicable measures will be taken to avoid risk to employees and others.
Management, supervisors, and staff are responsible for implementing this Policy throughout the Company. They ensure that health and safety considerations are given priority in planning and day-to-day supervision of work and that the Company Safety Statement is always adhered to.

P&D Lydon is committed to:

  • Continual improvement taking corrective actions when necessary, providing appropriate training, performance measuring, auditing, and management review meetings.
  • Providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment and a safe system of work.
  • Identifying hazards and associated risks and putting appropriate controls in place to eliminate accidents.
  • Using information from risk assessments, accident reports, audits, and legislation to identify improvements that may be required, setting appropriate objectives, and putting in place a realistic programme to achieve these.
  • Facilitating the appointment of safety representatives and encouraging their representation in consultation with Management.
  • Providing the appropriate resources to implement an efficient and effective Safety Management System as set out in the Safety Management System Document; in conjunction with the integrated Company Management System.
  • Effectively communicating and consulting with employees and encouraging their involvement in maintaining a safe and healthy work culture and environment.
  • Briefing, educating, and monitoring all staff that may have difficulties with reading and writing or language difficulties on Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensuring a competent person is available to advise on all Health and Safety Matters.
  • Ensuring the Safety Management System is available to all interested parties.

P&D Lydon have over the years developed a successful and impressive Health and Safety Management System which is accredited to ISO: 45001 standards.

Safe-T-Cert

P&D Lydon hold certification under the CIF Safe-T-Cert Scheme and have been an A-Rated Contractor for 11 years under the scheme due to continuous improvement and extremely high achievements.
