About this Project
P&D Lydon were contracted to excavate and remove the old Automated Bollards and replace with a new Anti-terrorist automated bollards system.
This involved closing street junctions for a short period of time and working 24 hour shifts in order that the works could be completed swiftly to allow re-opening of streets.
The work was carried out in the centre of the busy city on all junctions of Shop Street.
The works involved installation and maintenance of traffic management plans, installation of steel bollards, diversion of existing services, installation of new services, new ESB services and pillars, installation of cabinets, testing and commissioning all works.
