Westport Slipway and Pontoon

About this Project
P&D Lydon carried out the design and installation of a slipway and pontoon at the quays in urban town of Westport.
Works involved;
- Installation of an insitu concrete slipway and walls to include works below low tide water level
- Installation of decorative insitu parapet wall
- Full Design, install and certification of floating pontoon system – total length of pontoon approx. 40m with 2 no floating access platforms
- Full Design, supply , install and certification of cantilever platform
- Full design, supply , install and certification of pile runner system up to 5 m high fixed to quay walls inc design of connections
- Dredging of existing seabed, deep excavations along edge of existing quay wall 7m in depth
- Foundations installation below bed / water level
- 2 no access platform fixed to HEB pile guides and 2 no access gangways
All works carried out taking into consideration tides and within the confines of a live working pier
